Easily Combine Multiple Pictures into One: Lightroom

Using Lightroom's "Print to JPEG File" feature, you can combine multiple images into one photo and save it for use on social media sites, email or printing. In this example, I created a grid of four pictures. But there are many variations. The video tutorial by Julianne Kost at the end of this post has more ideas.

Start your combination by selecting the images you want to use in the Library module. It is easiest if all the photos are the same orientation (vertical or horizontal) but not a requirement. Optionally, you may want to add your selections to the Quick Collection (type b). This allows you to easily rearrange the order of the pictures, which affects how they appear in your layout.

Easily Combine Multiple Photos into One: Photo Joiner

If you want to easily combine multiple pictures into a collage (grid) or banner for your social media page, there are three free online sites that can accomplish this for you. All you need is your chosen photos and a fast internet connection for your web browser.

I learned about these services from a web article titled "3 Excellent Online Tools to Join Multiple Images Into a Single Image." The author recommends Photo Joiner, Fotor and Quick Picture Tools. I tested all three and have some suggestions to make using them easier. In part one, I describe using PhotoJoiner.net. Watch for reviews of the other web sites in the coming weeks.
