Indirect window light, when the sun is not shining directly through the glass, creates beautiful, soft, gentle light that's perfect for nearly any subject. It wraps around faces and still life subjects for lots of detail. The primary light in this photo came from a large wall of windows to the left. A few indoor lamps to the right helped with shadow detail.
You may need to use a piece of white foam core or a white sheet opposite the window to lighten the shadows. And you might need a tripod or a higher ISO since the light may not be very bright, depending on the time of day.
