When creating impressions of flowers by zooming the lens during the exposure, the background and the arrangement of flowers can have important effects on your final result.

In the two images below, I switched out a white background for a black one. This made the bold colors of the blossoms stand out and the black did not compete for visual attention the way a white one did.

In the opening image, I also rearranged the flowers in the bouquet so that I did not have a big "blob" of orange in the bottom of the image. Having smaller blossoms throughout the arrangement made the final zoom effect more appealing.
