Texture Contrast Makes Strong Black & White Images

Effective black and white images depend on contrasts of brightness and texture. Both are present in this image. The floats are brighter than their surroundings, so our eyes notice them immediately. And their smooth surface contrasts with the rough texture of the nets and ropes.
