New Year's First Full Moon

Full moon rising over winter hill
Frenchtown, Montana

This Friday, January 10, is the first full moon of 2020. If you have clear skies that night, just at twilight as the moon appears is the best time to capture a detailed view of the orb in the sky. If you wait until dark, the moon usually records as a blank white circle because the surrounding black sky fools your camera.
