Besides photographing your kitchen space itself, you can make pictures from anything you find in the kitchen. A black and white macro shot of salt and pepper shakers combines texture, shape and contrast for visual interest.
Play with the objects, rearranging them until you find a strong composition. Often your first, easy idea is less interesting than what you discover by continuing to experiment.
