Indoor Pictures Without Flash

Fish in Florida Aquarium
St. Petersburg, Florida

In a dark environment like this aquarium, leaving the camera on automatic means the flash will fire to try to light up the scene. But that would be disasterous in this situation. I was shooting through glass and the flash would have reflected off the surface, creating a distracting bright spot. Instead, I switched to Program exposure mode which does not automatically fire the flash. And I raised the ISO to 3200 to help the camera see in the dark. Along with some judicious editing, I was able to record a picture of these fish swimming past.
