Early Spring Along the Backwater #1

Bluebird Nest Box
Erskine Fishing Access, Montana

In early April, I took a walk through the east section of the fishing access site along the flood plain of the  Clark Fork River to see how spring was progressing. There were a few ducks, including a pair of hooded mergansers, but few other signs of life among the trees and grasses.

This image shows the birdhouse in its environment, one of the ways to begin to tell a story of a place. Practice more ways to create related groups of pictures in Photos in a Series, beginning July 6, 2021, at the Lifelong Learning Center in Missoula, Montana. Click here to register.
