Montana Wildflowers #4

Mountain Lady's Slipper Orchids
Alberton, Montana

Orchids are a rare species, so I enjoyed a bonanza when a friend took me to a location along a forest service road where there were multiple lady's slipper plants. I photographed this group of three blossoms using a 200mm lens set on a tripod. I made sure to keep the back of the camera parallel as much as possible to the column of flowers to maximize sharpness throughout the image.
