Sunrift Gorge Glacier National Park, Montana |
After a parking lot breakfast of fruit, pastries, and coffee (thanks Glacier Photo Guides!), we continued to Sunrift Gorge. This formation is a narrow slit in the rock down which water cascades over a series of ledges and narrows to eventually spill over Baring Falls.
There is a subtle hint of the turquoise glacial melt water in this photo, but most of the streams had such high water volumes that they were simply powerful white water. Watch for images of these in future posts.
