Changing Seasons #4

Bird Nest in Bare Trees
Frenchtown, Montana

Another indication of the shift from fall to winter is the departure of migratory birds. With fog obscuring the background, a small abandoned bird nest signaled the end to another breeding season.

I used an f/16 aperture for sharp details and adjusted the exposure compensation to plus 1-2/3 to ensure the fog recorded bright white. The extra exposure meant a slower shutter speed, so I kept the camera on the tripod and used the self-timer for the sharpest result.
