Victoria Bampton (aka the Lightroom Queen) has created a free ebook describing a travel workflow for Lightroom Classic users. You can take photos with your phone or regular camera. These get synched with Lightroom (cloud) while you're away. When you return home, the photos synch back to your Lightroom Classic catalog. I highly recommend this succinct workflow.
