These dramatic peaks border the Columbia Icefield, the largest ice field in the Rocky Mountains. With their minimal color, I felt these mountains would look most impressive in black and white. Even more dramatic were the signs (not pictured) marking the extensive retreat of the Athabasca Glacier over the last century.
