The afternoon I visited the Vermilion Lakes the weather was overcast and drizzling. But there were still dramatic views to photograph. Snow clung to the peaks of Mount Rundle. The brown grasses in the lake provided foreground interest. The transition from winter to not-quite spring was just beginning.
