Winter Horses Frenchtown, Montana 35mm film |
When photographing animals in the winter, you may need to brighten the exposure to ensure the snow surrounding them is white. I also waited until the horses were separated from each other and at least one had raised its head out of the snow. All three are framed between the two trees, a bonus for the composition.
Challenge yourself to photograph any animals in the winter, domestic or wild, in Exploring Photo Ideas 9, beginning January 10, 2024, at the Lifelong Learning Center in Missoula, Montana. You can read more about the class and register here.
