Wildlife in Winter

Mule Deer
Seeley Lake, Montana

If you live in area where deer are frequent visitors, keep a telephoto lens on your camera so you are ready when they appear. I saw this deer as I was driving my car near a golf course. The car acted like a blind, enabling me to shoot from inside the vehicle with a medium telephoto setting of 105mm.

Roll down your car window and steady your camera & lens on the door frame. Be sure to turn off the engine so the vibration doesn't produce a blurry image.
