Posing like a Hollywood star, this harbor seal seems to be showing its best side. Using a wide aperture of f/5.6 along with a 280mm focal length allowed me to blur the background rocks so more attention falls on the seal. Whether you are making a picture of an animal or a person, blurring the background focuses our gaze on the main subject.
