Left Behind #2

Sewing Machine Detail #1
Garnet, Montana

A closer look at the controls on this antique sewing machine. A spool of thread fit over the metal post at the top. The vertical bar in the front adjusted the number of stitches per inch and the large wheel could be hand-turned to start the needle in the right place in the seam.

When you find an interesting subject with lots of intriguing details, it pays to get closer with your lens. A telephoto setting works fine for large items like this.
