New Classes Beginning March 1

I have a new slate of photography classes beginning next week at The Lifelong Learning Center in Missoula, Montana.

Starting March 1 is the Photo Challenge course. We will explore three different types of photography: portrait, landscape and artistic impression. You'll have the chance to spread your creative wings and see what ideas your classmates came up with for each topic.

Starting March 2 is Creative Camera Techniques. In this class we'll further explore the effects of changing shutter speed, aperture, ISO and white balance on your pictures. You'll go beyond just recording your subject to interpreting it with these skills.

Photoshop Elements Workflow begins on March 6. In this course you learn a basic photo editing process that you can apply to any pictures, whether they came from your digital SLR or phone. Even the best photos out of the camera can often be improved with a series of simple steps. The school provides the computer and the software so you can try out editing without having to purchase any special supplies.

Finally, Mastering Manual Exposure begins on March 7. In this course you learn to control the entire exposure triangle yourself: shutter speed, aperture and ISO. This gives you the most control of any shooting mode and enables you to create consistent exposures in any lighting situation.
