Advance Your Photography

Even basic cameras with interchangeable lenses have a wealth of controls for exposure, focus and color. If you are familiar with the fundamentals of ISO, shutter, aperture and white balance, you can advance your photographic skills by learning about additional options your camera has.

Using the spot meter helped me make an exposure that preserved the detail
in the rushing water.

Advanced Camera Controls is a new class where you investigate different metering modes and when to use them, options for focusing from the back of the camera, bracketing exposures for HDR processing, and using the built-in flash. There are also convenient settings to adjust the beep, remind you to insert a memory card, and adjust the playback review time after a shot.

The course begins Monday, January 8, 2018, at the Lifelong Learning Center in Missoula, Montana. Registration is open online, by phone or in person. Come expand your camera knowledge and improve your pictures as a result.
