Moving subjects are a challenge to photograph, especially if you are using a point & shoot camera or your phone. You need plenty of light and a quick exposure to freeze the movement for a sharp image. Check your camera's Scene options for settings such as Sports, Kids & Pets or similar descriptive titles.

These modes adjust the camera's controls for fast shutter speeds and often continuous drive. Continuous drive causes the camera to make a series of pictures as long as you hold down the shutter button. Taking several frames per second increases your odds of recording the moment of peak action.
