Cloudy Days Make Good Portrait Lighting

Overcast weather may not make great scenic photos, especially if the sky is not dramatic. But cloudy days are wonderful for portraits. The light is even, without bright highlights or dark shadows that hide features. And the light is soft which flatters every complexion. Changing white balance to cloudy warms up the whole image and adding a little fill flash puts a sparkle in eyes.
