If your camera has a multiple exposure setting, you have access to a whole new world of photography! Multiple exposures are much easier with digital cameras than they were with film. Based on the number of exposures you want to combine, digital cameras adjust the exposure of each frame for you to prevent overexposure. Some cameras let you preview the first image as you compose the second frame so you can adjust the composition. And some models let you pick a previously saved picture on your memory card to use with the next exposure.
In this photo, I used a telephoto lens and set the camera to record nine exposures. After each frame I moved the camera slightly to the right so the small group of irises became an entire line.
