Don't forget to make an overall picture of the carnival to provide a sense of place. You may have to wait a bit to capture multiple rides spinning at the same time. I was hoping for the carousel to be moving during the shot as well, but then you wouldn't know what kind of ride it was.
By the way, the long five-second exposure meant that all of the people walking down the aisle did not appear in the picture. They did not stay still long enough to record. Only the two boys on the left were stationary for the entire exposure.
