As snow starts to accumulate at higher elevations, you may be heading to the slopes with your skis. But getting a stunning photo of your crystalline surroundings takes more than just pointing & shooting. All the bright light reflected off the snow confuses your camera (phone or regular) into thinking the scene is too bright. So on automatic settings, the snow comes out gray and dingy. Changing the Exposure Compensation feature (see your manual) to +1 lightens the snow to its actual brightness.
