The Ravages of Time and Weather

This past weekend I returned to Granite Ghost Town up above Philipsburg, Montana. I had not been there since 2003 (and earlier in 1997) and wondered how much it would have changed. I was unprepared for what I didn't see. Virtually nothing remained of the structures I had photographed 16 years earlier; the only things standing were brick walls (unstable and off limits) and a few shards of wooden buildings. I did not recognize the place at all. . . .
