| Bear grass beginning to bloom |
After spending several hours photographing the camas fields, I took my camera on a short hike closer to the Lolo Pass Visitor Center. There I was surprised to find swathes of bear grass in all stages of bloom. Grateful for the breeze that kept the ever-present mosquitoes at bay, I captured a few shots hand-held.
