Don't overlook the fun houses as colorful subjects at the carnival. There are twinkling lights, funny drawings and people running in and out. Your biggest challenge is waiting for a clear shot of the whole building as people move through the scene. Try several frames with people in different locations so you can choose the one you like best later. Including some twilight blue sky provides contrast with the warm yellows and oranges of the artificial lighting.
