This week I switch gears to highlight photographing close-ups of flowers by window light. I've used a macro lens to focus on the pistols and stamens of this flower.
Focus is very limited at extremely close distances. Instead of being frustrated by not having everything sharp, work in the opposite direction---shoot wide open on your lens to highlight just one feature of the blossom. Using Live View and manual focus helps nail the sharpness.
