Explore the Creative Possibilities of Layers

Adobe Photoshop is the gold standard of photo editing software. Among its powerful features are layers. Layers act like sheets of clear plastic laid over the image on which you can change the exposure, contrast, color or sharpness of the entire picture or selected areas. Layers also allow you to add special effects, such as a sepia tint, a title and a border. Applying these changes on individual layers provides you with flexibility to return to the photograph at a later time and change your mind.
