My final image from the Power of Black & White workshop was also made using Silver Efex Pro. In addition to helping with the conversion from color, I added a tint/tone to the picture and applied one of the border effects available.
Overall, I was impressed with the different results Silver Efex Pro let me achieve when converting color to black and white. It is especially helpful when dealing with low contrast images with little variation in the midtones. I expect Silver Efex to become an integral part of my black and white photography workflow.
