Traditionally, flowers are the popular subject for macro and close-up pictures. In this frame I captured both the full blossom as well as a tightly closed bud. The ant will feed on nectar at the base of the flower and keep away other insect predators. Any time you can include the stages of a flower's life in one image, you have expanded the story your photo tells.
