Photos in a Series - Sequence

Blown Away
Greenough, Montana

Making pictures to create a series instead of a single image is a way to expand the variety of photos you create. One idea for a series is recording how something changes over time. Here I created a still life of stones and leaves and photographed the first frame. I left the arrangement to do something else and when I returned, a breeze had disrupted my design. Instead of trying to repair it, I decided to photograph it again, and then later a third time. By grouping the pictures into a triptych, I emphasize the parts that stayed the same and the parts that changed over time.
