| Sunrise at Wild Goose Island Saint Mary Lake |
The next morning we gathered at the iconic Wild Goose Island Lookout for another sunrise. In this image, the morning sun has begun to kiss the distant peaks with warm light while the island itself remains a shadowed silhouette against the reflections.
I first visited this location back in the early 2000s, shooting with film and hoping for good color. The pink was faint, so I added an FLD filter to enhance it.

I returned in 2010 on a family vacation and captured a similar image at nearly noon but was blessed with clouds. Recording these variations is why we return to the same scenes over time.
