| Dragon roller coaster ride Western Montana Fair |
Because there is so much going on at the fair carnival, it can be hard to pick something to photograph. Before it is dark enough to create long exposures of spinning rides, it can be fun to select a theme to focus on. I've worked on collecting images of oversized "animals" at the fair, such as this "dragon" on a simple roller coaster designed for children. I've also made images of the giant stuffed animals available as prizes at some of the carnival booths. Once it gets too dark for my theme pictures, then I switch to photographing the rides.
