Because my access to these trees was blocked by a fence, I used a zoom lens to isolate a group of brilliant white tree trunks surrounded by gold leaves. If I had been able to get physically closer (zooming with my feet), I could have made close-ups of the leaves themselves. As it is, I feel this image completes a visual story of my subject.
