Making Sharp Photos

The key to sharp pictures of moving subjects is a fast shutter speed. The shorter the amount of time the shutter is open, the less time the subject has to move and cause blur. I used a 1/1000 second shutter speed for this image. And even though there was plenty of bright sunshine, I raised the ISO to 400 to ensure my picture would be both sharp and properly exposed.
