On my first Seattle visit, I was living in Las Vegas, Nevada, a desert environment. So I was intrigued by the reflections of sailboat masts in the water. This photo carries the strongest message by having lots of room given to the reflections themselves.
In my first attempt, I have lots of distractions in the foreground from other parts of the dock. But there is nice light on the boats and masts. The reflections are only a small part of the picture.
Here I moved closer and zoomed in to isolate this single boat with the intriguing name.
