Current smartphone cameras are capable of making nice close-ups of flowers, which you can see in the above group. As you move the phone camera closer to your blossom, you may see a "tulip" icon appear on the screen. This indicates your camera has switched to close-focusing, or macro, mode.
If your camera does not have an automatic macro mode, try using your telephoto lens choice (something like 3x or 5x). Then stand back and use the lens to zoom in and give you a close-up shot.
Be sure to pay attention to where the camera focuses and hold the phone steady.
